There are so many different opinions out there.
ocial media, news outlets, friends, teachers, and celebrities all have something to say about what is right, what matters, and how people should live. Sometimes those messages agree with each other. But a lot of times, they don’t. It can be difficult for families to know what’s true and what’s not.
Before Jesus went to the cross, he prayed for his followers and said to God the Father, “Your word is truth.” Jesus pointed his people to something solid and dependable: God’s Word.
The Bible doesn’t change with popular trends or shifting opinions.
It tells us who God is, how much he loves us, and what he has done for us through Jesus. It helps us understand right and wrong. It reminds us that our value comes from being loved by God, not from our achievements, appearance, or popularity.
Just like a tree needs deep roots to stay standing during a storm, families need a strong foundation when life becomes confusing or difficult. God’s Word provides that foundation. The more we spend time reading and talking about it, the more we learn to see life from God’s perspective.
No family has all the answers. Parents don’t. Children don’t. But God does. That’s why spending time in Scripture together is so valuable. Through his Word, God guides, encourages, corrects, and strengthens us. When families stay connected to God’s truth, they are better prepared to face the challenges and pressures of everyday life.
“Sanctify them by the truth – your Word is truth.” – John 17:17
